What about the fact the Porter Goss, the man appointed by Bush to head the CIA, called for a reduction (note I said "reduction" and not "slashed") three times bigger than the one called for by the "liberals." You have to admit the ad is kind of hypocritical.
You must be talking about this, and yes, nine years ago he proposed steeper budget cuts than Kerry, but that was before he was appointed head of the CIA, a position that doesn't have any power over budget cuts unlike his previous title of congressman.

But I see what you're getting at and perhaps there's a bit of hypocrisy at play, but like I said political ads are designed to be convincing and effective. That they're often dirty is just part of the game.
