Rough Day Today

Wednesday, January 26, 2005

The U.S. is looking at a record-high $427 billion budget deficit according to the latest official White House projections.

Thirty-seven soldiers died today in Iraq after a horrible helicopter crash and ambush by Iraqi insurgents in order to spoil the upcoming elections.

Ten people died today and 180 were injured in California after some idiot left his SUV on the train tracks.

In still sad news (for the victims anyway), a store owner used a gun to save his wife's life from two robbers who planned to kill her and rob the store. Fortunately Georgia allows law-abiding citizens to own and carry guns.
