The European Union is considering a ban on the swastika symbol after Britain's Prince Harry wore such a display on an armband to a costume party. Franco Frattini, the EU's justice and home affairs commissioner, said he was open to discussing the issue at a Jan. 27 meeting of EU justice ministers. "It may be worth looking into the possibility of a total ban, a Europe-wide ban," his spokesman told reporters Monday. The ban would affect the 25 member nations.

And I'm glad America isn't one of them. The government has no business taking away our symbols of any kind; political, religious, unpopular or even hate. Europe is losing its freedoms and it may be a matter of time before we're next.
